Ensenada Ministries Update – May 2026 Mission Trip

Serving Together in Ensenada, Mexico

Our May 2026 mission trip to Ensenada was another incredible opportunity to serve alongside our ministry partners, encourage local churches, and share the love of Christ with people throughout the community.

Delivering Much-Needed Supplies

As with every trip, we traveled with our trailer loaded with donated supplies and ministry resources. Before crossing the border, we stopped for inspection and declaration of the items we were bringing into Mexico.

This trip's cargo included:

  • Adult diapers for local outreach ministries

  • Wheelchairs

  • Walkers

  • Crutches

  • Personal luggage and team supplies

A couple from the church at Rancho El Refugio uses the adult diapers as part of an ongoing ministry to serve families and individuals in need throughout the area.

The cost to transport and declare these items across the border was approximately $340, but the impact these supplies make in the lives of local residents is immeasurable.

A Miracle in a New Neighborhood

One of the highlights of our trip was participating in an outreach event in a newly developed neighborhood near Rancho El Refugio.

The week before our arrival, a team from Rocky Peak Church in Southern California had completed construction of a small home for a local couple facing difficult circumstances.

The family had endured the heartbreaking loss of their seven-year-old child and had been told they would likely never be able to have more children.

Yet God had a different plan.

During our visit, we learned that the mother was expecting triplets—three baby boys!

It was a powerful reminder that even in seasons of loss and uncertainty, God continues to work miracles and bring hope to families.

Reaching Children and Families Through Weekly Outreach

We also spent time with Kevin and his wife, Sofie, who faithfully minister in a government housing community where many families face significant economic challenges.

Every Saturday they:

  • Share the Gospel with neighborhood children

  • Lead Bible-centered activities

  • Provide meals and food assistance

  • Build relationships with local families

During our visit, we had the opportunity to observe their ministry and see firsthand the impact it is having on the community.

As children experience positive changes in their lives, many parents have become interested and are now participating as well. What began as outreach to children is now helping entire families connect with Christ.

In addition to their Saturday ministry, Kevin and Sofie lead a Tuesday evening Bible study that continues to grow as more community members attend each week.

Ministry at a Local Rehabilitation Center

Another meaningful opportunity was visiting a rehabilitation center where Ricardo and members of the Rancho El Refugio church minister every other Tuesday.

During our visit:

  • Team members shared personal testimonies

  • The Gospel message was presented

  • We spent time encouraging the residents

  • We served lunch, including Costco hot dogs for everyone

Two members of our mission team had the opportunity to speak directly with the men in the program, sharing hope, encouragement, and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

It was a blessing to witness the openness and gratitude of those attending.
